We are delighted to announce that Gus MacGregor is featured today in The London Sunday Times.
Rave Review and Interview by London Times senior critic Mark Edwards:
"Listen to his album, and wallow in the smooth, mature, assured singer-songwriter styles — reminiscent of Paul Simon and Jackson Browne — and you would imagine that he has spent his life so far gradually building an audience for his wonderful songs, gaining fans and acclaim along the way.
Listening to the Simon and Garfunkel-ish Crown of Thorns, the artfully structured, irresistible chorus of My Two Feet or the radio-friendly, Crowded House-like Under the Sun, it seems ridiculous that MacGregor had to follow such a circuitous route to get to this point. Yet, rather than rail against an uncaring music industry, MacGregor says, with honest self-awareness: “It’s possible that I just wasn’t good enough until now. Some songwriters find their voice when they’re young. Perhaps it just took me a bit longer to find mine.”
